Here at Kao Sook Thai, we strive to bring the authentic flavors of Thailand to your plate. Our journey began in the bustling streets of Bangkok, where our founder discovered the art of Thai cuisine from generations of local chefs.
Kao Sook Thai Cuisine is an award-winning local Scotts Valley restaurant serving up authentic family style Thai cuisine. Chef/Owner, Mo (Thanchanok) and her husband took over the restaurant in September 2021 when the previous owners retired. Mo came to Santa Cruz in 2014 from Bangkok, where she had been working in the hotel and restaurant industry since attending University. She grew up in a local village in the countryside about 6 hours North of Bangkok where the community including her family were local rice farmers. At Kao Sook Thai, what hasn’t changed are the recipes and warm friendly staff. We continue to make upgrades to the kitchen. We have our eyes on adding new items or a little tweak here and there to your old favorites. We always are looking for customer feedback on what’s good , really good and could be better… stop by, say hello and taste for yourself the love and passion we put into every dish.

Wok fried rice noodles with tofu, egg, bean sprout, green onions and ground peanut.
